Welcome to the Volusia Innovation Hub!

In 2010, Volusia County leadership made a strategic decision to invest in business growth, innovation, and high-wage job creation. Partnering with the University of Central Florida’s Business Incubation Program, the County launched a 14-year initiative based at Daytona Beach International Airport, with a strong focus on aviation and aerospace.

As the economy evolved, so did the needs of the community. The Economic Development Division expanded this effort into a broader, countywide initiative supporting businesses of all sizes. In 2025, the program transitioned to Volusia County management, building on past success while creating a more open and dynamic ecosystem for entrepreneurship.

Today, the Volusia Innovation Hub supports startups, growing companies, and international businesses entering the U.S. market. Its programs include an accelerator, incubation services, CEO roundtables, international soft-landing support, and tech-focused meetups.

The Hub also strengthens Volusia County’s identity in aviation and aerospace, leveraging its proximity to Embry-Riddle and the airport, to attract investment, support high-wage industries, and compete for federal funding.

Programs include:

  • LaunchPad Volusia (Startup Accelerator)
  • Orbit Volusia (Business Incubator)
  • Runway Volusia (International Soft Landing)
